The Mission
Over five days, our goal was clear:
- Work out five amazing feature ideas (one per team)
- Prepare an awesome pitch to showcase the idea
- Get to know each other better across teams and companies
- Learn from one another, bringing in different areas of expertise
- Collect new insights about our products and processes
- And above all — have fun doing it!
But this wasn’t just any team-building event. We followed a Design Sprint-inspired format, structured to challenge our thinking and move quickly from idea to execution.
The Setup
We split our 50 participants into five diverse teams, combining knowledge from across our companies. Each team had a mix of backgrounds including:
- Backend & Frontend Development
- UX, Design, and Design Production
- Growth Marketing, Product Analytics, and CRM
- Social Media and Content Coordination
- Customer Support and Game Management
The central challenge?
Change any existing app feature to increase its business impact.
To do that, each team had to develop a qualitative business case and pitch it to our product leads.

🟡 Tuesday – Ideate
Creativity flowed as teams explored new directions and wild ideas. Brainstorms turned into bold concepts.
🟢 Wednesday – Decide & Sketch
Time to get concrete. Each team worked out detailed solution sketches and chose one direction to develop further.

With ideas locked in, teams began turning them into prototypes and pitches. The energy in the room was electric.

Why It Mattered
Beyond the brilliant ideas and impressive pitches, March Madness 2025 was a reminder of what’s possible when we break down silos, think boldly, and bring everyone to the table. Having developers, marketers, designers, analysts, and support staff collaborate so closely led to a flood of fresh perspectives — and some real product innovation we’re excited to explore further.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, organized, and judged. And hats off to Chicken Fried Rice, whose idea stole the show!
See you at the next madness. 🎉
